I think most people have nothing against foreigners studying here, after all we also go overseas for studies. What drives people nuts is that many of them get to study for FREE and get special treatment on top of it. Which makes many of these foreign scholars very arrogant and condescending towards locals. Hence the temsion and growing xenophobia. And they gahmen does not persecute those that just fly back to China(or whatever country they're from) without serving their bonds. Laughing

next time they try to get a job for an MNC somewhere, the companies will want to verify their parchment with the local schools ....

Now to do some local bashing, just to keep things balanced.

Top schools here also give priority to kids of grassroots leaders. Some parents go into grassroots work just to get their kids into the schools they want and stop doing grassroots work after that. Laughing

not to mention the "volunteer" work for the school to get a place in it. basically nonsense and detrimental selection criteria thats obvious and known but nothing being done about it.
